    1. The very first stars had to have been formed out of nothing but hydrogen and helium, in order to continue to correctly form they needed to collect a lot of surrounding mass.

  5. Can you tell what the classification of a star will be when it is undergoing the protostar phase?

    1. A star cannot be classified until it stops receiving inward falling material. Once it reaches its T Tauri stage, one can possibly classify it. If a T Tauri star doesn't reach nuclear fusion it can be classified as a brown dwarf.
