The 2 main factors for Venus' surface being hotter than the earth's is that first, Venus is much closer to the sun receiving much more energy from the sun. Second and more importantly, Venus has a runaway greenhouse effect that it's atmosphere is made up of 96% of carbon dioxide and our atmosphere is less than 1% carbon dioxide.
If you were to compare the different terrestrial planets, what do they have in common?
ReplyDeleteAll four have a solid surface, few moons, and similar topological features. They also all have a molten heavy core.

DeleteWhy is Mars red?
ReplyDeleteMars is red because it's surface material contains a lot of iron oxide which is the same thing that gives blood and rust their red tint.
